Why did I hire an SEO consultant to increase my business revenue?

My bodybuilding blog has not been as live as it should have been, but that's fair enough. It takes times to firstly create content ideas as well as writing it. There are thousands of topics and happenings in the world of bodybuilding at the moment. There are many controversial products and supplements which I could name and shame, however that is not the reason why I am blogging today. I have recently come in contact someone who is very good at digital marketing. In specific SEO. I am using his experience and expertise to optimise my blog and have also hired him to create a new website for me to push my services into the online world. With his affordable seo packages, he can ensure your business keywords can reach a higher level on Google. Just something I wanted to say as an update.

Much of what I do is tailored around the convenience of my customers. I ensure that they are keeping track of their food intake and I monitor their calories before our training session. Now with a new business ahead of me and a new website coming soon. I am confident that my client base will begin to increase.

The goal is to make a name for myself in the world of personal training. I am currently training my body to reach its optimal peak in appearance. I am working my weak points to ensure they push out more, I am also dieting to ensure I am in a caloric deficit per day to lose at least 1 lb per week, or half a kilo.

I then am going to compete in a competition to further get my name out there, to then increase the potential value of my personal training services. Some personal trainers earn £10,000 per session. Of course this is high end celebrity level status, however with the credentials and exposure I seek to obtain, there is no reason why I cannot get to that level, and with the help of my online marketer, I am confident that will happen.

Arnold Schwarzenegger - Total Recall Book Signing

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Booking Signing At Waterstones In London Piccadilly

As you can see from the above picture - I had the privilege to see Arnold himself in the flesh. I even got to shake his hand (that's not my hand)

This picture was taken as Arnold made his entrance from the ground floor of the shop to the first floor (FYI this Waterstones has five floors). As you can imagine, there was a lot of hype and excitement throughout the remaining 15 minutes prior to his arrival. When Arnold walked up the stairs, there was a lot of cheering which is expected with a lot of people. I managed to get a few photos of him.

At the end of the book signing Arnold left and walked past me and I shook his hand - I have to admit, it was a very uplifting feeling when shaking his hand.

So I just wanted to post a blog on this experience. As it's a once in lifetime event to be apart of I thought I would share this to the bodybuilding world. Also check out my weight loss blog for essential tips.

Bulking Up

When people in the gym use the terminology ‘Bulking stage’ it generally means that they are in a stage where they only want to put on muscle and not focus on calorie counting or measurements so much. To ‘bulk’ is to put on muscle mass. Generally what is common in an individual’s cycle of training is bulking the cutting, cutting means burning remaining fat within the body, but that is another blog entirely.

If you are looking to gain mass, then personally I would not implement the term ‘bulk’ in your mind. I see the term bulk as a mental blockage. What I mean by that is, when people talk about bulking, they mean more calories consumed in the body than expended out of the body, with heavy weight training. This is indeed true and works however; you can do that whilst losing weight at the same time. You can have the right amount of protein in your body per day along with complex carbohydrates, vegetables, fruits and everything else. You need not bulk then cut, you can combine both together as one ‘stage’ and you will drop fat and gain muscle simultaneously.

Sure, the cutting phase within the cycle may take longer but in the long run itself, you will be doing one phase as opposed to two, which is more sustainable and long lasting. If you begin the cutting phase, it may become tedious to you and with the lack of carbohydrates and sugar from fruits, it depletes your energy levels.
My advice is to combine the two together into one. This way you save time and have a sustainable mental approach to your gains. Sure, you can tweak your diet to make you lose 1 lb more per week by cutting 500 calories per day whilst still lifting, but that is not a drastic change, it could be lowering your carb intake or having one less protein shake per day for however long you wish.

Bulking is lifting heavy weights 6-12 reps, depending on the exercise. (LIFT HEAVY!) Bulking is consuming 2500-3500 calories per day. Or if you are really serious you can consume up to 5000 calories per day. This is only recommended if you are used to a high caloric diet and have been training for more than 1 year consistently.

Body Building Commitment

This will be an on-going blog of body building techniques, methods, mental and nutritional advice.

Before you start your body building or just toning up program, you will need a mission. What/Who do you want to be? Do you want to have huge muscles, tone up, lose weight then grow muscle? Whatever the reason is you need to focus on that. Have that in your mind throughout every workout. Ultimately you need to trust yourself and more importantly, you have to dig down deep and produce the best of your mental abilities. Anyone can build muscle and lots of it, but you need that mental strength, that DRIVE to succeed.

There are two tools which you will need in order to build muscle.

Time – You will need to put in your time to grow muscle. We all are surrounded by busy lifestyles which can get in the way of your plans to grow muscle, but if you plan in advance a schedule of what time of the day you will focus on training and of course meals, you shouldn’t have any problem with time. There are 24 hours in a day; you sleep for 6-8 hours, ideally 7 hours. So that leaves you with between 16-18 hours of the day. 7 of which you will be working, so if you work out how much time you have remaining in the day, you can plan out when to train. Time is precious; you can never get back time, so use it wisely.

Commitment – I hear a lot from people say that they will leave a task to tomorrow. What you do tomorrow you could have done today! Being committed is essential; you need to be committed to reach your fitness goals. The best advice I can give is to set an actual goal, this could be a time limit of say 100 day transformation, 1 year, it is entirely your decision. Or you could set a goal to compete and go up on stage. If that is your goal, don’t listen to the people who say it’s impossible you need years to do that. Do not listen to negative contributions, cast them aside and focus on what you want and desire your future to be.

Trust in yourself and everything will fall into place.

The only way to succeed and progress is through mental strength, everyone has positivity in their mind, it’s up to you to release it and keep that release balanced. Sure there will be times where you feel like giving up, but that’s normal and it’s only a momentary thought. One useful tip for motivational value is to surround yourself with the industry. Follow people on twitter who you admire, joining Facebook pages. It all helps. Socialise around people who have the same goals as you.

Building muscle will take time, you have to be patient, it won’t happen overnight.

Below is an inspiring video of body building motivation. Enjoy!
